No. 54 Interiors

Starkey Electrical have formed an ongoing partnership with No. 54 Interiors.

About Zoe and No. 54 Interiors

Just like Starkey Electrical, No. 54 Interiors is a husband-and-wife team. Based in Redditch, Worcestershire, they transform spaces through interior design and carpentry.

After merging their individual businesses around four years ago, the couple now provides creative solutions for those with individual and unique challenges in their spaces. Zoe and her husband usually work on residential projects but needed a trusted partner for a big commercial project, which is where Starkey Electrical came in.

While there’s a common misconception that interior design is just about soft furnishings and fluffy cushions, Zoe explained that that’s why the collaboration with Starkey Electrical was so important.

She said: “For me, the most important part is all of the space planning and making sure that spaces are functional and actually work for the client.”

Working with Starkey Electrical

Zoe reflected on the first big project that Number 54 completed with Starkey Electrical.

She said: “There was a lot of conversation and Stuart was incredibly helpful. It was my first time doing a project this big and of course it was really commercial. He had a lot of knowledge and insight and could offer some great advice.

“It was a restaurant so quite niche but Stuart and the team just understood the nature of the lighting. It was so helpful because obviously, the right lighting in a restaurant is critical.”

Zoe also commented on how thorough and helpful the team was, from initial consultations to being on-site and beyond, even assisting quickly with an issue the client had after installation.

“They were so accommodating when there needed to be little changes here and there or if we’d changed our minds on something, they never threw the toys out of the pram – they were just a joy to work with,” she said.

Zoe deals with the whole team but her first port of call is usually Stuart. She also liaises with office manager Emma and works very closely with the team ‘on the ground.’ The team has been a big reason why Zoe has continued to work with Starkey Electrical.

Would she recommend Starkey Electrical to others?

“Absolutely. I have done so many times!  Due to the nature of our work, we’re not always the right people for the job so I’ll often say, ‘hey, have you tried Starkey Electrical?’ and no one has ever come back to tell me it was a poor recommendation,” she said.

“They’re a nice team, very much a team of peoples-people and that’s what has kept me coming back.”
